These terms apply to your use of gestehealth.com. The site is published by Geste Health PLLC, a private psychiatric practice founded by Thomas Kim, MD, MPH. By using the site you accept what follows.

This website is information, not care

Everything on this site is general information about the practice and how it works. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment recommendation for you or anyone else. Nothing here should be used as a substitute for speaking to a qualified clinician about your own situation.

Using this site does not make you a patient

Reading these pages, sending the contact form, or emailing the practice does not create a doctor-patient relationship. That relationship begins only when Dr. Kim has accepted you into the practice, you have completed intake, and you have agreed the terms of care. Until that point, please do not rely on the practice for anything clinical.

Not for emergencies

The contact form and the practice inbox are not monitored continuously and cannot be used to get urgent help. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. If you are at immediate risk, go to your nearest emergency department.

Where care can be provided

Care is delivered virtually and only to people who are physically located, at the time of their appointment, in a state where Dr. Kim holds an active medical license. Information on this site is not an offer to provide care anywhere else, and describing the practice publicly is not the practice of medicine in any state.

Keep clinical information off the form

The contact form asks only for what is needed to reply to you. Please do not send symptoms, diagnoses, medications, history, or any other clinical detail through it. See the privacy notice for why.

The patient portal is a separate service

Appointments, secure messages and medical records are held in a patient portal operated by Akute Health. Following the Patient Portal link takes you to their service, under their terms and their privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or availability of services we do not operate, and the same goes for any other external site we link to.

Our content

The text, design, logo and images on this site belong to Geste Health PLLC or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own personal use. Please do not republish, sell, or reuse the content commercially, or use the Geste name or mark, without written permission.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep this site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors, or that it will always be available. Details of the practice, including membership arrangements, may change. Anything on this site is provided as it stands, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Geste Health PLLC and Dr. Kim are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, or from relying on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for the care of established patients, which is governed by the terms of care rather than by this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute about them belongs to the state or federal courts sitting in Travis County, Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
