A Better Question has a home. Every episode now lives with the Texas Medical Association, alongside the rest of their physician programming, and the back catalogue is collected in one place rather than scattered across whichever app you happen to use.
What the show is for
The premise is simple enough to state and harder to practise. Patients and physicians are both working amid an unprecedented volume of medical information — social media, peer networks, and now artificial intelligence — and the usual response is to argue about which claims are true. That rarely goes anywhere.
So instead I challenge my guests to pose more rigorous questions, in pursuit of evidence-based insight that actually advances health outcomes. Reframing beats refuting. It is what I do in clinic, and it works on air for the same reason: a better question gives two people something to look at together, rather than something to defend.
